Big Fish... Little Pond

A lot goes into doing PPG stats on this page. Searching local papers and websites from Dayton, Richmond, Troy and Sidney; e-mails to coaches that for the most part get returned. Sometimes a source pops in your lap and you just have to give them a thank you. In this case I'm giving them some props and link to the website.

I received an email a few weeks ago asking for a link on my webpage. Turns out my page had been linked on his page for quite some time and when I checked out the webpage there were links to sites from sports to news from all around the area. Turned out to be a handy place to go visit just for links and keeping up with our neighbors up north in Shelby County. Check out the fishreportonline.com. Keep up with our neighbors up in Russia and check out the links at the bottom of his page. Every once in a while you find a big fish in a small pond. Not too many ponds smaller than Russia, but hey... it doesn't mean you can't drop by every once in a while and say hello.

Thanks Fish

Boys Score for 12/4/09

"Live by the Three.... Die by the Three"
Bethel 53 - TVS 35 - Checked out the box score of this game on the DDN... South had 35 points with no 2 point buckets made the ENTIRE game. Ten 3 point goals and 5 buckets in 11 attempts from the charity stripe. The good news... they are leading the league in 3 point goals...

"I think National Trail has a shot to be drastically improved," is the quote from an opposing coach in the preview. Trail was only 3 points down at the half to Miami East and kept it close to the very end. East outscored them 3 points in the second half to squeak by the Blazers, 52-46. Brett Howdieshell led the Blazers with 17 points while Justin Hershberger lead the Vikings with 19.

Moore Drops 30 on the Roaders
Drew Moore lead Tri-Village with 30 points which happened to be the margin of victory for the Patriots as they won their season opener against the Bradford Railroaders 65-35. Matt Miller added 13 and Evan Catron 11 for the Pats while the 'Roaders were led by Danial Phillips with 15 points.

"Who ever has the ball last is going to win" How many times have we heard that said on TV during the college football season... Same thing applies in basketball and I will try to repeat that phrase every other week until March. Arcanum edged Ansonia 67-66 I have no idea if Arcanum had the ball last or not, but it made for a good headline. The Trojans had 3 player in double figures and were led by Austin Bruner with 18 points. Derrick Baker added 17 and Ryan Burns 16 has the Trojan overcame a 6 point half time deficit to beat the Tigers for the second year in a row. The Tigers also fielded a trio of scorers in double figures. Brandon Liette lead all scorers with 21 points as Kyle Young and Dylan Bubeck added 14 and 12.

MV Falls in opener to a big 4th quarter rally by Parkway
MV was outscored 20 -6 in the final stanza and fell to Parkway 58 - 50. Colton Cox led the Blackhawks with 15 points and 10 rebound while Gary Peace added 10 points

FM 53 - Newton 44 - FM was led by Tyler Shrodi with 19 and Van Spitler added 17. Chase Lavey led the Indians with 11 points.
